Mesh Belt Dryer for Garlic, Chilli and Red Date
Category: Food industry
QUANPIN DW mesh-belt drying suits permeable slices, strips and granules, including garlic, chilli and red dates.
Case Details
Performance Characteristics
Airflow, temperature, feed rate and residence time are adjustable. Options include belt washing, product cooling and recirculated drying air. Heat sources include steam, thermal oil, electricity or a specified hot-air furnace.
Working Principle
A feeder spreads material on a moving stainless mesh belt. Independent circulation zones pass air through the bed, while controlled exhaust removes moisture. Belt speed and the arrangement of upper and lower air circuits determine exposure.
Applicable Materials
Dehydrated vegetables, selected herbs, granular feed and comparable permeable materials. Filter cake requires preparation into suitable granules or strands before belt drying.
Confirmed Technical Data and Operating Results
| Parameter / result | Confirmed value | Material / comparison basis |
|---|---|---|
| Stainless wire mesh | 12–60 mesh | Reference belt mesh range; select for particle support and airflow. |
Material and Process Review
Belt drying conveys material through heated zones on a moving belt. Layer depth, belt speed, airflow and temperature need to match the material and moisture-removal duty. Compare food dryers using the actual feed geometry; belt conveyor drying and through-flow drying trials should establish whether the belt dryer provides the required moisture distribution.
Provide feed composition, initial and final moisture, throughput, temperature limits, utilities and cleaning requirements so QUANPIN can define the project operating conditions.
