Cryolite Drying Line
Category: Chemical industry
QUANPIN cryolite flash drying combines mechanical dispersion with a rising hot-air vortex.
Case Details
Cryolite Dryer Principle
Wet agglomerates enter the lower mixing zone, where the rotor breaks them apart. Finer particles rise with the gas stream; the relative gas–solid motion intensifies heat and mass transfer.
Features of the Cryolite Dryer
Selectable feeders support continuous delivery. Lower-zone cooling, shaft sealing and bearing cooling protect the machine. An air distributor and classification ring control flow and particle discharge while limiting wall deposits.
Applicable Materials
Synthetic cryolite and selected inorganic salts, metal hydroxides, ceramics, pigments, organic intermediates and food powders require material-specific trials.
Confirmed Technical Data and Operating Results
| Parameter / result | Confirmed value | Material / comparison basis |
|---|---|---|
| Final moisture example | ≤0.1% | Calcium carbonate example from the reference; not a cryolite moisture specification. |
Material and Process Review
Flash drying brings suitable wet material into contact with a moving heated-air stream. Feed preparation, particle behavior and powder collection affect equipment selection. For a spin flash dryer, review airflow drying performance using representative paste drying or chemical powder drying trials.
Provide feed composition, initial and final moisture, throughput, temperature limits, utilities and cleaning requirements so QUANPIN can define the project operating conditions.
