YK Series Oscillating Granulator for Pharmaceutical Powder and Granule Processing
Equipment: YK
Prepare granules or resize compatible agglomerates using an oscillating rotor and screen. The YK configuration should match the wet or dry condition of the feed. Review this granulation equipment within the complete process: a pharmaceutical granulator requires formulation-specific granulation trials and a defined interface with any downstream granule drying step.
Product Overview
Prepare granules or resize compatible agglomerates using an oscillating rotor and screen. The YK configuration should match the wet or dry condition of the feed.
Working Principle
A reciprocating rotor repeatedly works the feed against a screen. Suitable wet masses form granules as they pass through; compatible dry agglomerates can be broken down and screened in the same type of mechanism.

Key Features
- Oscillating rotor action works the batch through a screen.
- Screen openings are selected around the granule-size requirement.
- The feed condition determines whether the duty is granulation or sizing.
Suitable Materials
- Wet masses or dry agglomerates that are compatible with oscillating granulation and sizing.
- Assess the actual material properties, moisture or solvent content, temperature limits and required finished-product condition before selecting the machine.
Applications
Consider preparation of wet granules and conditioning of compatible dry agglomerates. Evaluate product strength and fines generation using a representative material trial.

Selection and Configuration
Specify feed moisture, lump strength, batch size and the required particle range. Confirm rotor and screen arrangement, access for cleaning, output requirements and how the material will be handled after discharge.
For pharmaceutical installations, specify product-contact materials, containment, cleaning procedures, controls and documentation requirements. These are project requirements to be agreed, rather than an automatic claim of certification.
